Sasaki Foundation Announces Design Mentorship Program
Alexandra Lee
We are thrilled to announce our new Design Mentorship Program in partnership with American Student Assistance (ASA). This eight-month program will expose students from Watertown Middle School to the world of design through hands-on activities, computer programs, and more, with guidance from Sasaki designers. Middle school students will spend time on our Chase Mills campus envisioning and designing what their ideal learning environment would look like.
For over 60 years, education has been at ASA’s core and they’re focused on helping students find their path and plan for their future. Their mission is to help students know themselves, know their options, and make informed decisions to achieve their education and career goals. ASA is committed to helping students:
- Explore education and career options starting in middle school
- Experiment through hands-on opportunities
- Execute a plan to meet their goals
With their partnership and in partnering with our local middle school, we are looking forward to building on our design education initiatives, expanding the talent pipeline, and advancing inclusivity in the next generation of design professionals.
Stay tuned for updates over the course of the next eight months!
